On 19 April 2023, EFSA has released its scientific opinion on the health risks related to the presence of bisphenol A (BPA) in food, stating that there is concern over dietary exposure to BPA for consumers of all ages. The assessment of scientific evidence, which included public consultation, revealed potential harmful effects to the immune system.
