This training will give you a clear overview of the EU food law framework. The concept ensures a focused scope (food safety, hygiene, contaminants, residues, labelling and advertising) while leaving space for interactive practice, case studies and questions, making it both practical and applicable to day-to-day work.
This two half-days online training offers a structured introduction to EU food law, focusing on food safety, hygiene, contaminants, residues, labelling and advertising. Participants will gain insights into the General Food Law Regulation, the Hygiene Package, contaminants and pesticide residue rules, as well as the Food Information Regulation. Practical case studies, examples from enforcement practice, and recent case law will illustrate how to apply the legal requirements. The training also addresses risk communication, crisis management and FAQs, ensuring participants can confidently apply EU food law in practice.
Learning by doing: This training includes practical exercises.
For this training participants need a basic understanding of chemical processes and food compositions.
