Overview

Polymers are under increasing scrutiny across Europe.

From the microplastics restriction and the revised Detergents Regulation to new sustainability expectations, biodegradability requirements and evolving policy discussions: The regulatory landscape for polymers used in detergents, cleaning products and cosmetics is changing rapidly. At the same time, companies must continue to deliver the performance, functionality and consumer benefits that polymer technologies provide.

As regulators, brand owners, ingredient suppliers and industry associations work towards more sustainable solutions, questions around material innovation, environmental fate, certification, data generation and innovation strategies have become more important than ever.

At this Online Conference, leading experts from industry, associations and policy circles will discuss the future role of polymers in consumer products and provide practical insights into regulatory developments, sustainability approaches and next-generation technologies.

Highlights

  • EU policy and regulatory outlook for polymers
  • Polymers across key EU dossiers: detergents, cosmetics, CLP, ESPR and microplastics
  • Sustainability and biodegradability expectations
  • Bio-based and next-generation polymer technologies
  • Implications for detergents, cleaning products and cosmetics
  • Brand-owner perspectives on innovation and reformulation
  • Certification schemes and traceability requirements
