This conference will address current and future developments in non-dietary exposure and operator safety assessment for plant protection products. Topics include the EFSA OPEX Guidance and Calculator, exposure modelling, bystander and resident safety, dermal absorption, worker re-entry, spray drift, and international perspectives.
This conference will focus on recent developments and future directions in non-dietary exposure and operator safety assessment for plant protection products. The programme is planned to cover updates to the EFSA OPEX Guidance and Calculator, experience with its implementation, and ongoing work on new and refined exposure models, including seed treatment, spray applications, and emerging technologies.
Further sessions are envisaged on bystander and resident exposure, spray drift and mitigation, dermal absorption, worker re-entry exposure, and innovative modelling approaches. International perspectives beyond Europe are also planned to support exchange on harmonisation and regulatory practice.
The Conference will take place in Dusseldorf, Germany, on 8 and 9 December 2026 and is designed to provide a platform for scientific and regulatory discussion, with 25-minute presentations followed by dedicated Q&A, encouraging interaction on current challenges and future needs in pesticide exposure assessment.

Prior to this, from 2006 to 2013, he worked at the UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) within the Chemicals Regulation Directorate (CRD), contributing to the regulation and assessment of plant protection products.

Prior to joining Corteva in 2023 he has been a Principal Consultant specialising in OPEX at Blue Frog Scientific based in the UK for 4 years and a Human Health Risk Assessor at Dow AgroSciences (now Corteva) for 8 years. Before joining Corteva and Blue Frog Scientific he worked in contract research organisations for 8 years.

Terms of Cancellation / Book without Risk
Written cancellations or transfers will be accepted free of charge up to four weeks prior to the start of the event. After this date and up to a week prior to the start of the event we will reimburse 50% of the registration fee. We cannot, unfortunately, provide refunds for later cancellations. However, in this case we will provide you with the event documentation after the event.
