PFAS in Food, Packaging & Environment

Recent studies highlight the presence of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in food and the environment:

BUND's ToxFox Test (published 19 August 2025) analyzed 22 hen's egg samples and detected 32 different PFAS compounds. Some eggs contained levels that could exceed the tolerable weekly intake for children if consumed regularly. Read the report

Greenpeace research (published October 13, 2025) found PFAS in fish, mussels, and crabs from the North and Baltic Seas, with some samples exceeding EFSA’s recommended weekly intake for adults.

These findings highlight the need for up-to-date monitoring, analytics, and regulatory compliance.
