          Alexandros Lioupis is a Chemist and has been working as a Seconded National Expert on the risk assessment of FCM substances and plastic recycling processes at the EFSA since 2015. Before that, he has worked on FCM control at Member State level for several years, at the national reference laboratory on FCM of Greece.

          Caroline LOCRE has an engineering degree in papermaking and joined CTP in 2013 as Project Leader in the fields of surface treatments of papers and boards, barrier materials, and food contact materials. She currently coordinates or participates in several R&D projects related to surface treatment of papers and boards and development of new food contact materials with specific barriers properties. Interactions between cellulosic packaging materials and foodstuffs are one of her favoured research topics. Assessment of the compliance of (sometimes new) food contact cellulosic materials with EU regulation is also part of her activities.

          Bianca van de Ven is a Toxicologist at the Department for Food Safety of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) in the Netherlands. Her main area of work is focused on safe use of substances in contact with food and drinking water. She is the Chair of the Committee on FCM at the Council of Europe and a member of the National Committees on the toxicological assessment of substances in FCM (G4) and in products in contact with drinking water (W4).
