Akademie Fresenius Conference to discuss changes in the authorisation process, risks and opportunities offered by biopesticides

Biopesticides, biofertilisers and biostimulants are gaining ground. However, numerous questions remain to be answered regarding the authorisation and risk assessment of pesticides with natural origin. Experts from the political arena, the research sector and the industry will be providing answers to these questions at Akademie Fresenius’ second international “Biocontrol Conference” which will be taking place in Mainz/Germany on 26 and 27 March.

Representatives from the European Commission, the European Chemicals Agency ECHA (Helsinki) and the European Food Safety Authority EFSA (Parma) will be outlining where European policy on biopesticides currently stands. In addition, a dedicated conference section will be dealing with risk assessment experience and guidelines.
