This 1-day training will explain how food contact materials (FCM) are regulated in the EU. It will cover a wide range of topics, from the fundamentals of EU FCM legislation – notably providing guidance on establishing compliance with EU requirements – to the latest developments, such as the EU's re-evaluation of FCM legislation.
This online live workshop – consisting of two half-day sessions – will explain the recyclability of other food contact materials (FCM) next to PET – including the different procedures and the consequences for safety evaluation. It will also focus on FCM from renewable raw materials like products made of wood and other natural materials. The agenda includes presentations from authorities, the scientific sector and the industry.
Manufacturers of packaging materials and food producers will be discussing about the migrating substances from coatings, adhesives, recycled plastics, paper based packaging, mineral oil, bisphenol A and other undesirable elements from packaging into food on this conference.
