Overview

Producers and importers of hazardous substances are obliged to provide a safety data sheet (SDS) which includes information on the chemical product as well as its safe handling. It is the most important communication tool in the value chain. For hazardous substances registered above 10 tonnes p.a. an extended SDS (eSDS) is needed. Here, the conditions for safe use are derived based on so-called exposure scenarios.

This course will give you insights into the structure and content of the eSDS as well as the exposure scenarios. You will learn how to read and understand the eSDS to correctly assess risks and use substances safely.

The course includes practical exercises and does not require previous knowledge of eSDS.
