Endocrine Disruptors: International Fresenius conference to discuss the effects of the new EU criteria on the industry

The effects of endocrine disruptors – chemicals that can influence the hormone system – have been a topic of discussion for quite some time. In July, the EU Member States agreed on a proposal presented by the European Commission that deals with the identification of endocrine disruptors in the field of plant protection and biocidal products. So what exactly does this mean for the consumer, the operator and the industry? The international Akademie Fresenius “Endocrine Disruptors" conference, which will be taking place in Cologne on 29 and 30 November, will be providing the answers. The organisers have succeeded in signing up a range of high-profile experts from the industry, the European Commission, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the US-American Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

This international Fresenius event will be providing an overview of the legal situation, the scientific background and will be presenting the many different points of view to be found in the various industries, fields of application and the Member States. Apart from all the latest reports from Brussels, the presentations will also be focussing on the discussions surrounding the latest test and calculation methods.
